Mom and Dad Visit - Part I

Mom and Dad Harper arrived at our place late on Friday night. They had driven 14 hours to come and see us for the weekend! We had a wonderful time talking and discussing and eating and playing games... (They got the hang of High Five!)

We had the pleasure of William and Amanda and Benji's company on Saturday night, along with their guests, Amanda's parents, and Ginger, her sister. Benji was surrounded by all of his grandparents and aunts and uncles in one place...and he has no idea how rare that may be. It was a great gathering, lots of fun. Andrew and I discovered that we love to be hosts!

We had to say "goodbye" on Sunday, but not for long! We got a call from Dad Harper after they'd been on the road for a couple hours. The car had broken down and so Andrew and I picked up a radiator hose and drove out to meet them. They fixed the hose in no time and then we were treated to dinner before we drove back home Sunday night. It was an unexpected road trip!

I'm sorry to report that we have no pictures from their visit. It's so unfortunate! I wish we could've recorded the fun of their first visit to us as a married couple. We'll just have to remember...

Cassidy without pics?? :-) wow, I'm shocked!
How fun that you had such a great time! NO doubt in my mind that you were incredible hosts!
And you get to be hosts again soon too, right? Have a great time with Mom and Dad Brock! :-)

So neat you guys had that time together -- making these first year memories -- you'll always look back on this first year of marriage and say..."remember when such and such happened that first year we were married..." Robert and I still do that:) These things will stay in your mind whether you have pics or not...

I am sure you were a super host and hostess... I'd love to drip in, uh that would be DROP in, one of these days and bring this cool guy I live with. We could play games. We could talk. We could eat. We could do all sorts of couple things -- one of these days...

love you.

P.S there really is a package coming to you... even if it doesn't get there until, uh let's say Christmas... it is coming. It's packaged up, it's even got your address on it three times on three sides (I should just go ahead and do the fourth side too I guess...) and it just needs to get to the post office -- which is like miles and miles away... through hills and lakes, weather of such degrees that the aircondition in your car burns up in flames as it is coming out of the vents towards you and wild indians and Texans who drive huge King Ranch trucks that like knock you off the road when you're trying to get to the post office...

But I will not give up. I will make it through the pass one of these days and it will arrive.
